Tie Day at Nepean Design Centre May 2013

This weeks Thursday Fun Day was Tie Day. Student got dressed in their favourite ties or made up a tie to wear. The best tie was judged to be from Judith Tan who created a tie out of cut out felt type to create the text "I Never Wear Ties". Well done Judith and thanks to everyone for getting involved in another fun activity at Nepean Design Centre.

Nepean Design Fair 2013

Hope posters support Westmead Breast Cancer Institute

The recent Westmead Breast Cancer Institute newsletter for May 2013 shows a range of Hope posters designed by our Graphic Design students. Nepean Design Centre have been producing Hope posters for the Institute for over eight years with the simple message of HOPE. The posters include messages of hope next to images of breast cancer survivors and their supporters as well as doctors and staff from the Institute arranged on posters. The posters are shown annually at the Best Breast Breakfast event organised by the Institute to raise awareness and provide a colourful and uplifting environment for the guests of the event.

Movie Theme Day at Nepean Design May 2013

Another exciting Thursday Fun Day saw students and teachers getting involved in fun activities at Nepean Design Centre. The theme was dress up as a character from a movie which saw some great costumes and make up appear around the college.

Red Day welcomes in the first Fun Thursday for Term 2 2013

The first Fun Thursday for Term 2 2013 was welcomed by many students and staff dressing up for the occasion in their best red clothes. All up there were over 60 of our Design students joining in with the fun of the day.

Paper planes take off at Nepean Design Centre 2013

'Thursday Fun Day' last week was celebrated with a paper plane competition on Thursday 11th April at lunchtime. Students where given 10 minutes to create a paper plane that would fly the longest distance. Students had a lot of fun creating all sorts of designs that resembled various individual streamline concords to one paper plane that looked very much like a paper hat. Thank you again Thursday Fun Day committee for organising another fun event.

Crazy T-Shirt Day at Nepean Design Centre 2013

'Thursday Fun Day' this week was 'Crazy T-shirt Thursday' and students and staff got behind the theme creating and wearing their best t-shirts on the day. The winner of the best t-shirt design was won by Judith Tan who created an excellent homage to Rapunzel with a hand made design featured on the back of her t-shirt with wool and felt. Judith's design was a clear winner with great attention to detail and an amazing design showing off her creative ability.
