Hawkesbury Fish Exhibition Banners designed for UWS 2013

Design at Nepean Arts and Design Centre have collaborated with UWS Office of Sustainability to produce signage for an exhibition at their offices that displays fish from the local Hawkesbury region linked with the Aboriginal history of the area. Lapstone Public School were asked to produce artworks to create the Aboriginal history in visual form while Design was asked to create stylised fish imagery to work with the background works. Imagery was combined on two banners which are displayed every Wednesday at the Office of Sustainability UWS Richmond until the end of the year.

Generous students at NADC 2013

One of our Interior Decoration Certificate IV students, Mina Matti, turned up last week with these hampers to give to people from our TAFE who were affected by the recent fires. There was four members of staff who lost their houses in the fire and one had partial house damage to her house. There have been many students who have been affected either directly or indirectly and WSI have organised many fund raising events to assist the fire affected community.

Thank you Mina for your wonderful contribution, it was greatly appreciated.
